Writing Literary Consultancy was established by its Director, Keirsten Clark, in 2003 to bridge a gap between aspiring, undiscovered authors and literary agents and publishers. Keirsten's experiences whilst working at one of the UK's leading literary agents, Curtis Brown, made her realise that authors need more than just a rejection slip. What they really need is guidance and writing advice to hone their manuscripts (many of which were truly great, unique story lines) into a professional format which would encourage an agent or publisher to look beyond the first few pages.
We have worked with thousands of writers over the past 13 years, assessing their manuscripts and providing invaluable feedback, copy-editing their novels to ensure every sentence reads well and proofreading their manuscripts to make every word perfect.
Whether authors wish to self-publish or approach literary agents or publishers our mantra is always the same - to provide expert feedback and advice on our authors writing to ensure it has the best possible chance of success.
Our team of editors are all highly skilled professionals, most of whom are published authors with vast writing, editorial or publishing experience. They know the challenges faced by authors, they understand just what it takes and they know how to provide the expert advice that could be the difference between being published or being in the slush pile.
